首先进行的是三、四名之争，主题为“全才和专才哪个更适应社会竞争”Who is more suitable for the social competition, the all-round talents or specialized talents?；最后进行的是冠军之争，主题为“知足者常乐还是不知足者常乐”Who is happier, those who are contented or those who are not contented?
本次争吵赛由表语系老师做评委、表教John担任主席；校党委副书记书记李寿山、副校长何珍文及学生处处长申键光临现场并对争吵赛赐与了高度评价 。
